PACT now keeps its data in a database of its own, apart from everything else on the server. Before the switch, its backup was restored into an empty copy to prove it was complete. The switch itself took three seconds, and every identity came across unchanged.
If a paid order stalls on its way to being made or shipped, the shop now notices within a day and tells us the one thing to do: approve it, chase it, refund it, or tell the buyer. It never changes an order by itself.
TopSoil is being split into self-contained modules. Two old modules with nothing left to do are gone, along with everything they had left in the database, and the code that starts TopSoil is under a third of its old size. The screen for the site's scheduled jobs is the first module in its own folder, with a short page saying what it does, what it depends on and how to test it. Every step is checked by listing everything TopSoil sets up when it starts, before and after, so a change can be shown to do only what it meant to.
The Products list is now where a product is edited. Title, subtitle, brand, category, label and price change right in the row, every warning opens the thing that fixes it, and every other part of a product (its description, garment, price, photos, sets and status) opens in its own panel under the row. The old card that showed everything at once is gone. Columns can be dragged into order or hidden, and each person's layout is kept. Facts that belong to a garment rather than a design, like its size chart, care, material and tags, are kept with the garment once, and every product made on it reads them from there.
Three in four visitors arrive on a phone, most of them from Instagram, so the product page was rebuilt phone first. The photo only turns to sides that carry a design, the label inside each garment shows as a big tag beside the photo, and a design's other versions are a choice in the colour list. Buy shows the price and goes straight to checkout. Links opened inside Instagram or Facebook on an iPhone now open in Safari, and every product shares with its own picture.
The room is now arranged with its own builder, version 1.0. Walls, floors, shelves, decor and the words on them are set up on a test copy of the site, then sent live in one step. Every save is kept, so any earlier layout can be put back, and if the test copy and the live site both changed the same thing, it stops and asks which to keep. A Layers list shows everything in the place you're standing in, even things that draw nothing, and a click picks any of them up. It builds one tent on one server for now. Saving a tent to a portable identity is still the next step.
Things that were missing from the backups are now in them, and each was checked the only way that counts: restored and matched against the live copy. A nightly job that reported success while failing now reports the failure. The live sites are also watched from outside our own network, so an outage gets noticed even when our own machines are off.
In the room you carry a phone and sit at a PC, and now the two keep one place. Browse on the phone, put it away, sit down, and the PC opens the page you were on. The phone's Back button walks back through pages, and Space stands you up or sits you down, even while you're at the PC.
Every product in the room now carries a hang tag, like a shirt on a shop rail. Click the tag to turn it over: one side has the price, size and colour, the other the name and description, and either side can be shared as a link. A design that comes in several versions keeps one tag, with the other versions one click away. In the Center Ring, tap a garment to zoom in and drag to look around it.
inertspace.com stopped selling websites and hosting. The homepage is now about the co-op and what it is building, and the Terms and Privacy pages were rewritten for a site that sells nothing. The old client Support page was retired.
AnalogCirc.us soft-launched. The room, the shop and the member board are open to everyone, and the shop takes real orders. You can join the VHS Rotary Club now; memberships begin in November, and members pay ahead for it. Opening quietly first means the first people through the door find what is broken before a crowd does.
Coupon codes work at checkout. Every code is checked when it is made, so no code can push an item below what it has to earn. A discount that quietly loses money on every sale is not a discount, it is a leak.
DeadMagats has its own page inside the Navigator and its own booth in the room, open to visitors from Oct 8. It shares the one basket and checkout with the rest of the circus. The site's own description widened the same week: a co-op for artists, makers, and physical-media collectors.
Sales tax shows before you press Pay, on both the shop and the membership screens. A member can skip a month, pay by bank or card, and fix a failed payment from the member board. The Privacy Policy and Terms of Service were published on Sep 15. The free tier is now called Circus Member: joining the circus is free, and you pay only to support it.
The shop's garments are made to order. A design can carry more than one piece of art per side, a product can be sold as a set of its colours at one price, and you can pick stock up off a rail or shelf in the room and look at it before it goes in the basket.
tentcities.us now reports 4.84 million GeoCities pages and 7.08 million images recovered from the Wayback record, 71,892 parked archives unpacked, and 39,172 sites found whole enough to stand back up. The finding underneath all of it stays the same: the early web was built out of self-expression, not commerce.
Making the room-OS work on a phone turned out to be a rebuild, not a breakpoint. A 3D room you walk through is a desktop idea, and shrinking it produces something that is neither a room nor an app. So on a small screen the room becomes scenery and the BBS becomes the interface, presented as the device itself. Sizing was tuned against real handsets, because a narrow browser window and an actual phone disagree in ways only hardware reveals.
Shelves and rails stopped being scenery and started holding actual catalogue items you can pick up, turn over, and put in a basket. Placement had to become data the site owns rather than something one browser remembered, so what one person arranges is what every visitor sees. Most of the difficulty is in making a garment hang, fold and take light correctly: a shop that renders its goods badly reads as a shop with nothing worth buying.
Not a store and deliberately not a commerce engine: the generic layer underneath one, so a site can own its items without adopting somebody else's idea of what a product is. Items that vary along more than one axis at once, prices that refuse to go below what an item has to earn, and a fulfilment seam that verifies locally rather than trusting an outside supplier's success response. Alongside it, v6.13.44 through v6.13.49 shipped together, several of them existing purely to record work the version number was lagging behind.
tentcities.us gained a written layer: case studies drawn out of the corpus, a findings page, and a published methodology. A pile of three million pages is a statistic; one webring reconstructed is something a person can read. The methodology ships alongside the findings on purpose, because an archive that will not show its working is asking to be taken on faith.
Site, database, certificates and mail all moved together, and the site was back up on its real domain the same evening. Two things turned out to be broken that nobody had checked: a real signup produced no email, and payment webhooks were being blocked before they reached the new host. The mail failure is the one worth generalizing, because the send function reported success on every message that never arrived. A function returning success is not evidence anything was delivered. Only the receiving end can tell you that.
Two-factor, password reset, account deletion and a tent roster all landed, then reached production together on Aug 17. Two-factor belongs to PACT rather than to any one site's login page, so enabling it protects every surface at once. Deletion is the one that matters most: an identity system that cannot delete an identity has quietly decided your account belongs to it. It now removes the directory entry and the keys together, leaving nothing orphaned.
The class had been defined by capital contribution and then offered a governance seat. Read plainly, that is pay-to-play whatever the intent. It is now defined by who its members actually are, with the two things separated explicitly: dues make you eligible, not elected. The original wording was not intended that way, which is exactly why it needed changing: intent is not what a reader receives.
The theme draws its own header now. Elementor has since left production entirely.
Member billing built on Stripe, with PACT behind it for identity. The AnalogCircus BBS ships as the member's billing terminal. WooCommerce removed the same day. First real use of PACT identity in a cooperative flow.

A member can graduate a hosted key to a fully self-custody one. The backend-for-frontend integration pattern for tent-side sites is decided and documented.

The Screen OS Navigator inside AnalogCirc.us gets a bookmarks dropdown plus real iframe browsing of inertspace.com. Framed sites render to scale: desktop layout, shrunk to fit the CRT.
Rewrote the AnalogCirc.us references on inertspace.com to position it as a worker-owned cooperative for physical-media collectors, not a generic community server demo. The description widened on Oct 7 to artists, makers, and physical-media collectors.
